We are an open-admission municipal animal shelter owned and operated by the City of Tallahassee, and serving the surrounding communities. In 2011 we were proud to be selected as the newest ASPCA partner community, and are working hand in hand with our friends at the Leon County Humane Society, Leon County Animal Control and Be The Solution, Inc., to increase the number of lives saved in our community.
Our mission is simple; we work to protect the public and the welfare of all the animals in our community. Our official mission statement reads: The Tallahassee-Leon Community Animal Service Center (TLCASC) ensures public safety and the welfare of animals by enforcing animal control regulations and by providing a secure, healthy environment for animals in its care.
Our goals are simple too, and all focus around the primary goal of maximizing the number of lives we can save by:
